Post­-Tour Extension: Montenegro

​DAY 1   ARRIVE SPLIT, CROATIA
Arrive in Split, where you are met and transferred to your hotel. This evening, join your Resident Tour Director and fellow guests for a welcome dinner at the hotel. Hotel Park | Meals: Dinner

DAY 2   SPLIT | PALACE OF DIOCLETIAN
Tour Split, starting with the Palace of Diocletian and its synagogue, and view St. Domnius Cathedral. Stroll Split’s Old Town and harbor-front promenade. Visit the daily market, and then enjoy your afternoon at leisure, before a dinner with a klapa concert. Hotel Park | Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

DAY 3   HVAR | HISTORIC WATERFRONT SPLENDORS
Ride Like a Local by public ferry along the stunning Dalmatian coastline to picturesque Hvar, a lush, mountainous island, where Venetian palaces grace narrow backstreets and secluded coves beckon. Enjoy lunch at a restaurant, and then stroll to view the town’s Cathedral and Arsenal. Adriana Hvar Spa Hotel | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

DAY 4   HVAR | WINERY VISIT & WINE TASTING
Drive around the island and soak in its ample charms, perhaps stopping to walk on a sun-drenched beach, visit a small village or  view a field of lavender. Visit a family-owned winery for a wine tasting accompanied by a diverse sampling of products from their farm. DAY 5   STON/DUBROVNIK | OYSTERS & THE OLD CITY
Head to Dubrovnik, the “Pearl of the Adriatic,” stopping en route in Ston, renowned for its oysters, which you may wish to sample when you enjoy lunch  in a typical Dalmatian restaurant. Hotel Excelsior Dubrovnik | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner 

DAY 6   DUBROVNIK/KONAVLE | WALKING TOUR & SILK WEAVING
Stroll through Dubrovnik with your local guide to see the Franciscan monastery, the Rector’s Palace and Dubrovnik Cathedral. Later, watch silk weavers    at work on a fascinating artisan visit in Konavle. Return to Dubrovnik, where you ride a cable car up Mount Srd for a Scenic Sundowner, taking in the fantastic city views.

DAY 7   DUBROVNIK | PRIVATE CRUISE TO THE ELAFITI ISLANDS
Today, enjoy a cruise to the Elafiti Islands by private yacht, disembarking to take in the many natural and man-made highlights, from cliffs and olive groves to monasteries and villas. DAY 8   DEPART DUBROVNIK   After breakfast, transfer to the airport to depart.

DAY 1:Upon arrival in Ljubljana, Slovenia, you are met and transferred to your hotel on picturesque Lake Bled, with views of the clifftop castle and the Julian Alps. Grand Hotel Toplice | Meals: Dinner
DAY 2:Visit Bled Castle to view the large collection of 16th- to 18th-century weaponry in its museum, and then board a boat to tour St. Mary Island. Later, join your local guide to walk Vintgar Gorge.

DAY 3:Travel to Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia. View its 18th-century cathedral, Baroque palace and colorful frescoes. Drive to Zagreb, Croatia.

DAY 4: Walk Zagreb to view the National Theater and the Well of Life by Ivan Meštrović. Later, visit the Meštrović Atelier to see the artist’s works.

DAY 5: Transfer to Split, stopping en route to visit Plitvice Lakes, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Tour the National Park, followed by lunch. Then, continue to Split.​ | Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

DAY 1:Travel to Montenegro, stopping at the Bay of Kotor fjord for lunch. Boat to Our Lady of the Rocks, a tiny church on an island.
